DDP (Diamond Dotted Paper)

Introduction:

Epoxy dotted paper is an insulating material in which special modified epoxy resin is diamond-shaped on electrical insulation paper. It is made of electrical grade insulating paper coated with Class B heat-curable epoxy resin on one side. It is used for insulation between coils in oil-immersed transformers.

Features and application:

This product is widely used in the interlayer insulation and interturn insulation of oil-immersed power transformers. When used, the coating layer starts to melt at a certain temperature during the drying process of the coil, causing adhesion, and then solidifies as the temperature increases. So that the adjacent layers of the winding are reliably bonded into a fixed unit. The adhesive strength of the epoxy resin is sufficient to prevent the displacement of the winding layers during short circuit, thereby ensuring the long electrical and mechanical properties of the insulating structure.

Since the resin coating of diamond dotted paper is dot-shaped, it ensures the immersion of oil and the discharge of gas in the insulating material, effectively avoiding corona and partial discharge, thereby ensuring the safety and reliability of the insulating structure. It can also be used as cable shielding isolation layer and anti-corona material for high-voltage motors and electrical appliances.
