Importance Of Wood Step Block

Insulators are needed in many positions in the transformer body, such as: supporting plate, pressure plate, wire clamp for lead wire support, step block for iron core clamping, etc. Insulators’ shrinkage in some positions need to be strictly controlled in order to avoid unnecessary problems, the step block in particular.

In the traditional iron core step block, it will shrink during the drying process. The shrinkage easily causes the iron core window to deform, which leads to the phenomenon that the iron core is not inserted in place and out of tolerance.
