The Difference Between Heat Shrinkable Tape And Heat Shrinkable Sleeve

The heat-shrinkable tape (sleeve) PE has a fiber-reinforced layer in the middle, which is modified by electron accelerated radiation, has excellent mechanical properties and strong penetration resistance. The adhesion strength of the hot sol to the surface of the HDPE tape is extremely high, which can effectively guarantee the sealing effect of the joint with simple operation and high reliability. According to customer requirements, we can produce various specifications of heat shrinkable tapes (sleeves). The similarities between heat shrink sleeve and heat shrink tape are as below:

(1) Main application: Both the heat shrinkable sleeve and the heat shrinkable tape are anticorrosive materials used for pipeline anticorrosive repair construction. Their functions are the same and can be replaced by each other.

(2) Raw materials for production: the raw materials used are the same.

(3) Performance: product performance is almost the same.

(4) Applicable standards: SY/T0413-2002 "Technical Standards for Polyethylene Anticorrosion Layer of Buried Steel Pipelines", and GBT 23257-2009

(5) Product shape: The heat-shrinkable sleeve is tubular, commonly known as dead sleeve, patch sleeve, and heat-shrinkable sleeve. The heat-shrinkable tape is in the form of a sheet, commonly known as a looper, a patch belt, and a heat-shrinkable belt. The heat-shrinkable belt has a matching fixing sheet in addition to the main body sheet.

(6) Production process: Due to different product shapes, the production process used is also different. First of all, the heat shrinkable sleeve is extruded in the shape of tube, and the heat shrinkable tape is sheet; The heat shrinkable sleeves need to be expanded with a separate expansion machine to the required caliber one by one, and the heat shrinkable belt is stretched synchronously during the extrusion stage; the heat shrinkable sleeves are semi-mechanical and glued during the gumming stage. The entire sheet is glued full-automatically; finally the heat shrinkable sleeve is glued and trimmed before it can be packaged, and the heat shrinkable tape needs to be cut according to the specifications, equipped with a fixed piece, and packaged as a whole.
