The composition of NHN insulation paper is a layer of polyimide film and Nomex1 paper (DuPont paper) composited on both sides (see below), and its heat resistance level is H level (180 ℃), which is a composite insulation material. Has good mechanical properties. However, under the influence of some factors, its insulation performance cannot be fully exerted. Below we explore the specific factors that affect its performance.
1. Combustion resistance: refers to the flammability of NHN insulating paper facing the flame and the self-extinguishing property when it leaves the flame. With the increasing scope of application of insulating materials in society, the requirements for flame resistance are becoming more and more strict. Relevant professionals have also been experimenting with different materials in an attempt to increase the flame resistance of insulation materials. The higher the flame resistance of insulation materials, the higher the safety.
2. Mechanical strength: refers to the maximum strength that NHN insulating paper can withstand under the corresponding pressure. This experiment is also the most representative experiment in the performance test of NHN insulation paper.
3. Arc resistance: Under the condition of rated voltage, NHN insulation paper can resist the arc action on the surface. In the laboratory, AC high voltage and small current are used to test the arc resistance by judging the time required to form a conductive layer on the surface of NHN insulating paper. The longer it withstands, the better its arc resistance.
4. Hermeticity: The hermeticity of liquid objects is high. It has good mechanical strength and voltage resistance. Its surface is smooth, ensuring that it is trouble-free when used.
Because NHN insulation paper has good performance, it is mainly used for slot insulation, slot cover and interphase insulation of high heat resistance motors, and can also be used as interlayer insulation for transformers or other electrical appliances.
