Temperature Of The Epoxy Board And The Insulating Grade

Jul 27, 2020

Epoxy board is a kind of insulating material. Its insulating performance is closely related to temperature. The higher the temperature, the worse the insulating performance. In order to ensure its insulation strength, each insulating material has an appropriate maximum allowable operating temperature. It is required that we must control a suitable temperature when using it. High temperatures will not only affects the insulating properties of the epoxy sheets, but also accelerates its aging process.

According to the degree of heat resistance, the insulating materials are divided into Y, A, E, B, F, H, C and other levels. For example, the maximum allowable working temperature of Class A insulating materials is 105°C. Most of the insulating materials used in distribution transformers and motors generally belong to Class A, such as epoxy sheets and so on.
